This design with damping over the entire stroke is filled exclusively with oil, so there is no gas pressure. Due to the design, there is a small idle stroke when the piston rod is extended. The retraction and extension speed – i.e. the effective acceleration inhibition of a mass movement – can be significantly influenced by using different nozzles and different oil viscosities.

This Bansbach damper variant enables controlled damping of movement in both directions without spring effects. The piston runs completely in a fixed oil chamber. The piston rod volume does not affect the oil chamber when the piston rod is retracted or extended.

HB damper
With these hydraulic brake cylinders, the retraction and extension speeds can be set very precisely. The speed is controlled as it retracts and extends. The damping intensity of these dampers can be adjusted by turning the piston rod. When adjusting, care must be taken not to damage the adjustment segment by turning it too hard. If there is significant resistance, the adjustment process must be stopped.
